Building mudge's wallet
The digital wallet is the killer app for the completely open source hardware and software “digital mobile safe” program led by mudge (aka Peiter) Zatko, at Google’s Advanced Technologies and Projects (ATAP) Group back in 2015. We need it today!
Dumb down data
Good decisions can flow from good data. Good data is rich with meaning and relationships. Stripping the value from data to “improve the developer experience” is the wrong way to address the complexity of good data, and enable its use in practice.
Battle for the brand
The W3C Verifiable Credentials standard enables secure, privacy respecting capabilities to allow individuals control over their personal data. The battle to appropriate this brand in order to market and sell non-standard-conforming products has begun.
Not better identity
I no longer believe that match/no-match data validation services are the way to implement a public sector identity validation capability for use by the private sector.
